A well-established Lawyer and a Senior Consultant with more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the field of human rights, good governance, and sustainable development; a specialist in civil society in the MENA region; a founder of a number of international, regional and national coalitions and networks aiming at promoting democracy; a member of the United Nations mechanisms for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights; and a specialist in the UPR Mechanisms as well as issues related to gender equality, youth empowerment, sustainable peace and sustainable development, whether at the level of the 2030 Agenda or the AU Agenda 2063.

Lecturer and Instructor at Egyptian and Arab levels on (decentralization and good local governance, election campaigns management and elections observation, political awareness, international instruments and mechanisms for protecting human rights, societal peace, and sustainable development). He is a legal adviser of several Egyptian and International Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). As well as being a project manager of several developmental projects implemented by Maat and co-partner institutions.

Ayman Okeil has published several studies, manuals, and working papers. He has written well-crafted content for many local, Arab, and international newspapers and magazines, in both Arabic and English, and given hundreds of TV interviews for leading TV channels.
